WALKING PILGRIMAGE—A walking pilgrimage to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown, Pennsylvania will begin August 9th and commence from Saints Peter and Paul Church in Great Meadows, New Jersey. VIVERE CHRISTUS EST AWARD – Each year His Excellency, Bishop Arthur Serratelli presents the VIVERE CHRISTUS EST AWARD (Christ is Life) to members of the diocese who perform extraordinary service on behalf of the Church. This year’s award from Sacred Heart of Jesus Church is going to Jack and Pat Zayac. The Zayacs are active within both Sacred Heart of Jesus and Saint Cecilia Parishes for many years serving in various leadership positions. This year’s award from Saint Cecilia Church is going to Diane Boykow who serves as the administrator of Saint Cecilia Cemetery, the facility which serves parishioners from both Saint Cecilia and Sacred Heart of Jesus Parishes. Diane fulfills her duties with the greatest of devotion and dedication. The awards will be given at the celebration of Vespers on Sunday, September 9th at 3:30 p.m. in Saint John the Baptist Cathedral, Paterson, with Bishop Serratelli presiding. OPEN HOUSE AT SACRED HEART RECTORY: On Friday evening, July 13th an open house will be held at Sacred Heart Rectory from 7 to 9 o’clock. The event will provide an opportunity for parishioners and friends to meet Father Pawel and support him n his new position as parish administrator. VISIT ROME AND THE AMALFI COAST IN 2019: Father Zig is leading a trip to Rome and the Amalfi Coast of Italy September 5-14, 2019. A presentation for all those interested in this trip will be held on Tuesday evening, Sepember 18th in Hayes Hall beginning at 7:00 pm. A representative from Collette Tours will make the presentation and answer all questions related to this wonderful trip. PARISH PICNIC RAIN DATE—Sunday, June 24th is the rain date for this year’s parish picnic. Please save the date and plan to attend this great opportunity to build up our parish spirit and renew friendships.

HOLY HOUR TO CONCLUDE—Holy Hour will be suspended for the summer months. The final holy hour will be this Monday, June 11th from 7 to 8 p.m. Holy Hour will resume on Monday, September 10th.

NEW DAILY MASS SCHEDULE – Beginning on Monday, July 2nd, two morning Masses will be offered Monday thru Friday at 6:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. On Saturday morning only one Mass will be celebrated at 8 o’clock.
