POPE FRANCIS STARS IN NEW FILM – Pope Francis is coming to America! Perhaps not in person, but at least in a one of a kind new movie co-produced and endorsed by the Vatican. “POPE FRANCIS-A MAN OF HIS WORD” will open in theaters nationwide on May 18, 2018. Wim Wenders’ documentary is intended to be a personal journey with Pope Francis, as he sets out to present his work of reform and his answers to today’s global questions. From his deep concern for the poor, to his involvement in environmental issues and social justice, Pope Francis engages the audience face-to-face in a way never seen before. Running time is 92 minutes. The Vatican has said, “The film masterfully shares the tenderness, humanity and revolutionary thinking of Pope Francis, and shows that he is a man who practices what he preaches.”

MAY DEVOTIONS – Following the weekday Masses at both Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and Saint Cecilia Church the Litany to the Blessed Virgin Mary will be prayed during the month of May.

HEALING MASS For all who are in need of healing; spiritual, physical, mental or emotional, there will be a Healing Mass on Saturday, May 12 at 11:00 sponsored by the Christian Care Committee. All are invited to attend.

2018-2019 Registration K-8th Grade Traditional CCD, 9th & 10th Grade Confirmation & Generations of Faith Registration for all religious education classes will open on Sunday, May 6th after each of the morning masses in Hayes Hall. Registration forms will soon be available on the parish website. No registrations will be taken before May 6th.
